If you want the bag to stay in circulation after the event, custom tote bags in recycled cotton or RPET polyester are often a better fit, because people keep them and use them again. When the bag is part of a gift or a welcome pack, the product’s look matters more than the unit price. Heavy canvas, pockets or a zip make it feel more like a retail bag, and on suitable models you can add embroidery, transfer or a synthetic leather patch.
If you want embroidery, keep it for canvas and for logos without very fine lines or small text, because on light fabric it can pucker and lose definition. Also check the handle length if it will be carried on the shoulder over a coat; you can spot that quickly on the product page.
