Branded gilets for companies with your logo
Branded gilets for companies keep the torso warm without restricting the arms, and are worn over a shirt, polo or sweatshirt, in and out of the office. Your logo can be embroidered on the chest or added with transfer print, depending on the fabric.

Branded gilets cover the torso, leave the arms free and go over whatever each person is already wearing, so you do not need to change the rest of the uniform when the temperature drops. They are a piece of custom corporate clothing that people also wear outside work if the branding is discreet: a 7-9 cm embroidery on the left chest looks like everyday wear; a 30 cm logo across the back does not.
There are four main types: the padded bodywarmer, with a lightweight polyester or nylon outer and wadding fill; the sleeveless softshell, windproof and water-repellent; the sleeveless fleece, with an anti-pill finish; and the knitted gilet, for customer-facing roles with a smarter dress code. If you need a workshop or warehouse version, with pockets and reinforcements, see our custom workwear.
Types of gilet and who each one suits
| Type | Typical material and weight | Who it suits | Recommended branding |
|---|---|---|---|
| Padded (bodywarmer) | Lightweight polyester or nylon outer, wadding fill of 150-180 g/m² | Sales teams and staff getting in and out of the car | Chest embroidery, 7-9 cm |
| Sleeveless softshell | Three-layer softshell, 300-320 g/m², windproof and water-repellent | Field teams and outdoor events | Transfer or heat transfer vinyl |
| Sleeveless fleece | Anti-pill fleece, 250-300 g/m² | Cold offices, warehouse, mid-layer | Chest embroidery, 7-9 cm |
| Knitted | Cotton and acrylic blend, V-neck or crew neck | Reception and customer service | Fine embroidery |
| Promotional hi-vis | Lightweight polyester with reflective bands | Events, races and volunteering; not a substitute for certified PPE | Transfer or screen printing |
Materials and weights are indicative. The composition of each model is shown on its item page.
Branding on a gilet: what works
The price on each item page includes branding in one colour in the standard position. A different technique, more colours or a second position is included in the quote.
- Left chest, 7 to 9 cm: the everyday position, embroidered on padded, fleece and knitted styles.
- Upper back, 25 to 30 cm: for trade fair or event teams, in transfer or screen print. Embroidery at that size is heavy and distorts the gilet.
- Softshell and membrane fabrics: transfer or heat transfer vinyl. An embroidery needle pierces the membrane and reduces protection against wind and water.
- Padded styles: the logo needs a flat area between the quilted seams. Check the branding area on the item page; you will see it positioned in the mock-up.
- No sleeves means no sleeve position: if you want a second branding area, use the upper back or a small position near the hem.
Typical mistakes when ordering gilets
- Ordering the usual size. A gilet goes over another garment: if your team will wear it over a sweatshirt, check the size chart for that model. Size splits are optional when you request a quote and can be confirmed later.
- Choosing light colours for outdoor work. They get dirty quickly; navy, black or dark grey hold up better through the season.
- Confusing a promotional reflective gilet with PPE. It works for events and for making the team visible, but it does not replace certified hi-vis clothing required for some roles.
What they are used for and what to pair them with
The most common uses are for field and sales teams getting in and out of the car all day, stand staff at trade fairs, an end-of-year gift for employees and welcome packs. At trade fairs and conferences, personalised gilets identify the team without making anyone get changed, because they go over whatever each person is already wearing; they fit well with the rest of your event merchandise.
Pair them with layers underneath: custom polos or T-shirts in your brand colour, with the gilet on top and the embroidery on the chest. If you need warmth with sleeves, see our softshell jackets and parkas or fleece jackets.

How we choose
If you wouldn't wear it on a Saturday, it's no good.
The test for a corporate garment is simple: if someone wears it on a Saturday, the money is well spent. That depends on the weight, the cut and that the logo doesn't take up half the back.
- 180-gram cotton for T-shirts, 280 for sweatshirts
- Sizes from XXS to 5XL in basics
- Up to 28 colours to match the corporate tone
Bodywarmers: the entire catalogue is branded in Europe, with delivery within the timeframe we agree with you.
The detail
Chest embroidery beats large prints.
Discreet, durable and with a touch of a personal brand. In corporate textiles, less logo means more garment.
